On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, the Riley brand unveiled a new phone called the Realme GT Neo, which is a modified version of the flagship Realme GT, which was launched nearly a month ago with a Snapdragon 888 and a 120Hz Super display. AMOLED was unveiled. Compared to the GT, the GT Neo has not changed the type and size of the screen, main and selfie cameras and battery capacity, and everything seems to be back to normal. The most important difference is the phone's processor, which has been changed to Dimensity 1200 instead of Snapdragon 888. Minor changes in the design and memory of RAM and charger are other new points of this phone.

Putting GT and GT Neo together almost everything is the same It seems that the only change in appearance should be sought in the back and in the motochrome label located in the color bar below the camera in the back, which changes color by moving it in the light according to the rainbow spectrum. Leaving this point aside and of course the color range of the phone itself, there is no other difference in appearance between the two phones. The dimensions of the device are 8.4 × 73.3 × 158.5 mm, which is exactly the same dimensions as the GT glass version. In terms of weight, however, the situation is slightly different and the weight of 179 grams of GT Neo has decreased by almost 7 grams.

6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and refresh rate It has 120 Hz and also examines the possibility of touching the finger with the screen 360 times per second. This panel, which covers 91.7% of the device, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and on paper is apparently the same screen as the GT.

At the top left of this screen is the device's 16-megapixel selfie camera Which does not support autofocus and its f/2.5 aperture does not matter much. The camera has a 78-degree field of view, and its maximum video resolution (apparently without slow-motion support) is limited to 1080 p/30fps.

Three cameras side by side in a rectangular area on the side There are places on the left that, given their characteristics, do not form an extraordinary combination; The main camera of this part is a 64-megapixel model with Sony IMX682 sensor, which sees only a 6-stage lens with an aperture of f/1.8. This camera does not have optical image stabilization but supports EIS or digital image stabilization. The maximum video resolution of this camera is 4K/60fps, and in slow motion (as an advantage over the GT model) it achieves a resolution of 1080p/480fps or 720p/960fps. The second camera in this series is an 8-megapixel ultraviolet without autofocus with a 5-stage f/2.3 lens, which also does not help much in improving the image of this model. With this camera, you can capture images with a field of view of 119 degrees. Finally, the latest camera in the Realme GT is a 2-megapixel autofocus macro with a 3-stage lens with f/2.4 in front of it.

The only significant change from the GT Neo to the GT belongs to its processing unit, which has been replaced by the Snapdragon 888, currently MediaTek's most powerful processor, the Dimensity 1200; Of course, this processing solution is not superior to the Snapdragon 888, neither in 6-nanometer lithography nor in its constituent cores, but we do not encounter a low-end chipset. Introduced in mid-January 2021 with the Dimensity 1100, the Dimensity 1200 consists of an Arm Cortex-A78 core with a maximum frequency of 3 GHz at the highest level, 3 other similar cores with a maximum frequency of 2.6 GHz in the middle and finally 4 2 GHz A55 cores It uses the lower cluster and the graphics task is assigned to Mali-G77 with 9 processing cores. Aside from the CPU and graphics that make the Dimensity 1200 lower than the SD888, another important difference separates the two processors, where the Snapdragon 888 supports LPDDR5 fast memory, but the Dimensity 1200 still only supports LPDDR4X RAM utilized. GT Neo RAM can still be 8 or 12 GB, and now a 6 GB version has been added, but these memories are no longer LPDDR5 and are slower with LPDDR4X technology. Of course, the internal memory of the phone has not changed and it is the same 128 or 256 GB of the former UFS 3.1 type.

The phone battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh as before, which is via USB port -C is charged; The battery charger, of course, has taken a step back, and while in the normal GT we had a 65-watt charger, the maximum power of the charger supported in the GT Neo has been reduced to 50 watts. According to Rilmi, this charger increases the battery charge to 50% in 16 minutes. Of course, the GT Neo still comes with the same 65-watt charger inside the box, but the phone will only benefit from 50 watts of this power.

Other notable features for the GT Neo include the Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-frequency satellite routers and NFC connection.

Realme GT Neo in three colors pink, silver and black with Android 11 operating system The Realme UI 2.0 will be available in China from April 7 (April 18, 1400) and the base version with 6GB/128GB memory will be priced at 1,799 yuan (with a current exchange rate of close to US $ 274). For the two more advanced versions of the phone with 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB memory, you have to pay 1,899 and 2,399 yuan ($ 289 and $ 366), respectively. It is worth noting that the Realme GT is available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB versions with higher prices of 2,799 and 3,299 yuan in the Chinese market, respectively.
